One day as I was listening to the radio I heard an announcement about diabetes. It said: ‘A lot of people have diabetes but most of them don’t know it’. That’s because you don’t notice much of anything in the beginning. Just like so many other diseases. It also said that if you are around 45 and overweight to check a certain website. I did and found out I had four of the symptoms; unusual weight loss, the need to urinate a lot, blurry vision and I drank up to 1,5 litres of water just during the night.
So I went to see the doctor and I said; ‘I have diabetes’. He asked; ‘How do you know?’ I said, ‘I know’. This was true. Don’t forget we know our body better than anyone else.
I went out that same night and had my last hamburger and my last rum and ‘diet’ cola after I came back from the hospital. I probably liked it so much that even after being sent home from the hospital I wanted ‘one more goodbye kiss’ from the bad stuff.
I had been drinking cola light or diet cola for over 20 years and I now know that it’s probably the worst drink there is. All sodas are bad for us, but the light or diet drinks are the most harmful.
So the next morning riding on my bike with my first shots of insulin, heart medication and statins pills to lower my bad Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, I realized I screwed up big time.
I practised sport for many years, seven days a week. I didn’t quite make it to the top, but some of my team members have Olympic Medals. Then I stopped practising sport. Who is going to get me, I thought? I’m 6’’4, 1.91 m and strong from birth.
‘Well, they got me’.
‘Every master once was a disaster’
Doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, insulin injections, and waiting at places you do not want to be, and other time and money consuming issues were the result.
I always thought I was leading the ‘good life’. But now the time had come to live the life so many diabetics live until the day they die.
But what was that life going to look like? Loads of medication, insulin injections with needles, blurred vision, loss of eyesight leading to blindness, carrying medications and medical equipment everywhere I went and on top of all that, I already had the first ulcer near my ankle. I still remember the look on the doctor’s face. He didn’t say anything, but I had heard about amputations.
I didn’t yet know the devastating and addicting effect of insulin. It lowers your blood sugar level yes, but it doesn’t cure anything! Lowering your blood sugar is just a superficial side effect. What it does and what your doctor won’t tell you, is that it increases your bad LDL cholesterol, raises blood pressure, causes cancer, peripheral vascular disease, stroke and obesity. That’s why most diabetics take more pills to treat these horrible side effects that lead to heart disease and kidney disease, and that eventually lead to death.
I found out the hard way that sugar is a drug just like alcohol, cigarettes and cocaine. Nothing more nothing less! The sugar tax is on its way. You may find this hard to believe, but it’s already reached many newspaper front pages and well known TV programs.
That’s why many people do not understand that being overweight is not their fault. It’s an addiction. A sugar addiction. By the way I love chocolate and I still eat it, but different chocolate than what I ate before. Real cacao is actually beneficial to your health. And it tastes much better too!
Don’t forget that some of the most influential industries are the food and pharmaceutical industries. What do they want? To make profits. To sell as much as they can. And when it makes you an addict, even better.
So this was going to be my future. I was a ‘bit lucky’ because my ex-wife, who I was married to at the time many years ago, also had diabetes and never complained about it. Fact was she never complained at all (well she did… sometimes about me…:o)). Even after two kidney transplants (she was born with atrophied kidneys), zoster, half her face was paralysed at the age of sixteen, hepatitis, skin cancer, severe lung disease due to a feather allergy and many other complications and limitations, she handled it all with a big smile. She taught me a lot about life.
What I learned is that if something unpleasant happens to you, even getting sick, it is a sign for growth and renewal. Very few people now live more happily than she does and she would not have wanted to miss all of the complications, because as she says: ‘It made me who I am now!’
So therefore I wasn’t that scared, but still I knew I had messed up big time. After all, your health is your first wealth.
I have always tried to live my dreams. Whether it was in sports, study, living in a nice climate, travelling, the great variety of things I have done in my life, you name it, they all came true. Lucky bastard, or was it because I didn’t know what I know now? Do we really attract what we think of the most with specific emotions attached to it? Both good and bad?
Is it like a boomerang? Whatever thought you put out comes back to you? Or what you focus on gets bigger? The answer is yes!
But I also knew it had to do with an emotional blockage. I learned that physical pain and issues mostly come from emotional pain. So I had to change my inner world. As a result my outer world changed naturally and easily.
I realized that we create our own reality all the time. Circumstances are neutral. I know it is a hard lesson to learn, but once you understand that we are what we think about and focus on, then you have probably learned one of the most important lessons in life.
‘Things don’t change, only the way you look at them does’. Carlos Castañedo.
The moment I don’t like something I walk away. Some say that you have to fight and hang on, no pain no gain, and others say that you do not want to waste your time – only do the things you REALLY like. Well, that’s impossible many of you might say.
However I opted for the latter and I now understand why, and that’s why I’m passionate about explaining to you now, how I came to be living the life of my dreams. And how you can too.
First of all I didn’t believe you could reverse diabetes type II and control type I. Now I know better as I reversed type II, diabetes mellitus.
For the last two years I have studied enormous quantities of books and articles on diabetes. Type I or juvenile onset diabetes, is the relatively uncommon type affecting about one in 250 Americans and occurring in persons younger than the age of 20. So far it has no known cure and insulin has to be supplemented for the rest of your life. The only solution is a pancreas transplant. However type I can be controlled as I witnessed with a young man of 24 years, who was on insulin for 18 years, and cured his bruxism (tooth disease).
You first want to be happy and then successful in every single way. Most people think it’s the other way around, but it’s definitely not. I’m sorry, but I have seen both cases many times.
As I mentioned before I not only show you how to reverse diabetes the natural way and get you off your medication, but I’ll also show you, once you make this one major change in your life, everything else will change as well.
Most of us fear change. Don’t forget, we are all human, but the difference in those who make big changes in their lives and those who don’t is that they decide to do it anyway, even with their fears and doubts! They commit to taking action.
Or as Mark Twain puts it: Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not the absence of it.
That’s why I want to share the knowledge I learnt from others, together with my own personal experiences. General Practitioners have general knowledge. General is not the same as specialized. And I found that those who call themselves ‘specialists’ should go back to medical school and have their licence taken away. That’s why mainstream medicine largely fails in treating diabetes and even worsens it, because it refuses to investigate and act on the underlying causes of diabetes.
The most important thing I learned is that I do not have to live a life different from ‘others’, but I can live a life of optimal health and vitality based on the conscious choices I make.
Because optimal health after all is our natural state.
